Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage - Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.
Relaxation Massage - Our massage therapists service relaxation in the art of massage therapy. A relaxation massage is a soft technique used to stretch muscles passively and to promote circulation in the body. When the body's energy is in a neutral frame then a true relaxation state can be obtained. Patients who seek time away from the stresses in life and for a chance to decompress love the relaxation form of massage therapy. Try it today and call for an appointment.

Reflexology - Reflexology is a focused pressure technique, usually directed at the feet or hands. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which corresponds to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body.
When the reflexes are stimulated, the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A reflexology session seems to break up deposits (felt as a sandy or gritty area under the skin) which may interfere with this natural flow of the body's energy.
Therapeutic Massage - This is the typical massage that most patients look for when the need relief from pain, anxiety, and even depression. This method is a low force, short or long stroke massage that lengthens muscles in the anticipation of reliving stress within the body.
Pregnancy Massage - Pregnancy massage is massage therapy specifically tailored for the expectant mothers needs. It is also called pre-natal massage. The mother's body must be properly positioned and supported during the massage, using pillows and padding. Proper positioning ensures comfort and safety for the mother and baby. Just ask for Angela Kirk. She will be more than happy to assist you in pregnancy massage.

Hot Stone Massage - Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage. The heat helps tight muscles release.
The therapist uses traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another. The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hand, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.
