Activator Methods - Evolved from nearly 40 years of empirical study and 15 years of clinical research, the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments.
Active Release Techniques® (ART) - ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. Read more about A.R.T. >>
Thompson Drop - Thompson is a chiropractic adjustment that utilizes a drop piece on the chiropractic table. The chiropractor will set up an adjustment, prop up the drop piece, and deliver the adjustment as per usual. The patient will feel the drop piece drop about 1 inch. This helps the chiropractor realign the spine with very little force. This technique is great for infants, children, and the elderly.
Torque Release Technique® (TRT) - Dr. Christine Hafer utilizes the Integrator, which is a torque and recoil release adjusting instrument that combines the best of existing chiropractic techniques and principles, quantum physics, and the body/mind connection. Creating the first integrated chiropractic system for the second century of chiropractic. Torque Release Technique is ideal for pregnant mothers, emotional drained patients, and people trying to overcome addictive qualities. Everyone is screened during the first exam and if the doctors find that TRT would be the best treatment, they will recommend this treatment.
Pregnancy - Pregnant mothers have found great relief from low back pain during their pregnancies with regular chiropractic care. Patients are placed on their side and manual or activator methods are used to gently adjust the spine and relax muscles that cause low back pain. Even after birth mothers and their newborns will continue with chiropractic care to ensure that both mother and child are free from any nerve interference that is caused during the stresses of the birthing process. The massage therapists also work with expecting mothers giving them relief from the aches and pains of child bearing.
Pettibon - The Pettibon procedures are an advanced, scientific approach to Chiropractic that is taught as an elective or at postgraduate level. They exceed the standard chiropractic college curriculum. These procedures include progressive treatment plans. The first plan is based on ligament physiology. Its goal is to get the patient out of pain by causing the uncompensated spine to re-organize into a compensated position. The second plan is based upon muscle physiology. Its goal is to rehabilitate and correct the units of the global spine so it aligns to its gravitational field. The third plan occurs after spinal correction and rehabilitation. Most knowledgeable patients want to have periodic checkups. They also continue in an active exercise program to arrest and reverse the subluxations effects of their jobs, recreational activities and their life styles.
